Whenever I see or hear news like this I can’t help but feel that I’m living in a pivotal time. The progression of surveillance and robotics and the military industrial complex combined with the depression of a post-industrial America (especially evident in my state, Michigan) create an awfully ominous tone for the future of this country. Now, I’m not going to theorize and say that America is going to devolve into anarchy and feral cities, but the fact that a future like that can even be imagined is a bit disconcerting. Here are two videos, seemingly unrelated, but when viewed together create the collective feeling of a dystopic present.
